摘要：
Following a brief introduction to the ultrafast optical spectroscopy and their
applications in studying chemical, physical and biological systems, the speaker
will present a new development in ultrafast spectroscopy methods, optical two-
dimensional Fourier Transform spectroscopy and will discuss its basic concepts
and applications in investigating electronic couplings in semiconductors and
energy transfer in photosynthetic systems.

Xiaoqin (Elaine) Li, who is Assistant Professor of Department of Physics,
University of Texas at Austin.
EDUCATION：
Ph.D., Physics, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan. 1997 – 2003
M.S., Electrical Engineering, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, Michigan 1997
– 2002. Major in optics and minor in solid state.
B.A., Physics and physics education, Beijing Normal University, Beijing, China .
1993 –1997. Graduated with the highest honor.
CURRENT RESEARCH INTERESTS：
Spintronics, light scattering and optical wave mixing techniques, semiconductor
quantum dots, mesoscopic quantum systems, laser physics, optoelectronic devices,
ultrafast lasers, quantum interference effects in semiconductors, femtosecond
comb technology, multidimensional spectroscopy, quantum information science.
